Dr. Gaitsgory Cares About Your Child’s Teeth
December 4, 2013
Here at Framingham Premier Dental, we appreciate the importance of your child’s teeth, and Dr. Gaitsgory is ready and able to start your child off in the right direction. We understand that children may have fears when visiting dentists, which is why our friendly and knowledgeable team is ready to welcome them with open arms.
Child dentistry is very important because it can prevent problems before they arise, and sets up your child for success in the future. A common practice in children’s dentistry is dental sealants. Because a child’s tooth is more susceptible to cavities and decay, sealants provide protection by having a plastic covering painted in the grooves of the tooth to protect from future or further harm. Sealants are primarily applied to premolars and permanent molars, as the grooves are deeper than the other teeth and more susceptible to deterioration.
Along with sealants, fluoride treatments are also involved in child dentistry. Fluoride plays a part in preventing decay, and acts as a magnet for attracting other minerals to build strong teeth like Calcium and Phosphate. Although fluoride does not prevent cavities from emerging, it can certainly delay their arrival, giving your child a better chance to have beautiful, healthy teeth. Establishing routine brushing and flossing habits early on is a sure way of having your child’s smile be as beautiful as possible, and Dr. Gaitsgory as well as the Framingham Premier Dental team are here to make sure your child has an awesome experience.

Cosmetic Dentistry in Framingham, Natick, Sudbury and Ashland
October 9, 2013
If you’re unhappy with the appearance of your smile, there’s no need to despair. At Framingham Premier Dental, we can help improve your smile with a variety of cosmetic dentistry solutions to improve the appearance of your smile. We can address stains, chips, misshapen teeth, crooked teeth, excess gum tissue, and more.
If your smile is stained or discolored, we can help with teeth whitening or porcelain veneers. We offer both in-office or take-home teeth whitening treatments to remove stains and brighten your smile. Stubborn stains and other flaws can be hidden behind porcelain veneers, thin pieces of porcelain that are affixed to the fronts of your teeth. If you have a few small smile imperfections, bonding could be a great conservative alternative to porcelain veneers that also allows us to hide chips, cracks and more.
Invisalign is a clear braces solution that is popular with our adult patients because it allows them to straighten their smile without the metallic look of traditional braces. You’ll use a series of clear aligner trays to gradually straighten your teeth in an unobtrusive manner. Also, if your teeth are gums are misshapen or not proportioned correctly, we can help with contouring. We will carefully remove excess gum or tooth structure until your smile is balanced in appearance.
With such a wide variety of cosmetic dentistry treatments available, there’s no reason for you to not be satisfied with your smile. Give us a call today to learn more or schedule your appointment. See for yourself how cosmetic dentistry can help improve smiles.

Dr. Gaitsgory received training from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics to learn how to administer Botox and dermal fillers. Restoring Infected Teeth with Root Canal Therapy
August 7, 2013
If a cavity has gone untreated long enough to penetrate your tooth enamel and enter the inner canal of your tooth, it needs to be treated as soon as possible. If this has happened to you, then you’re suffering from a root canal infection. At Framingham Premier Dental, we can restore the health of your tooth with root canal therapy.
Since there are a lot of nerves inside the root canal of your tooth, an infection here can be quite painful. It is important to address this as soon as possible because you’re at risk for losing your tooth. Dr. Gaitsgory will enter your tooth to clear out the infected inner material of your tooth. She will then sterilize your tooth and fill it with a special rubber material that will protect against further infection as well as reinforce the tooth. In many cases, we’ll cap your tooth with a porcelain crown to complete the restoration.
There’s no need to be afraid of root canal therapy. While many people feel this is a painful procedure, in most cases the pain that brings you into our office is worse than any discomfort that you’ll experience while undergoing root canal therapy. This is a great way for us to help improve the health of your smile by treating teeth that have become infected.

Dental Implants from Dr. Gaitsgory
July 9, 2013
If you’re missing teeth it’s important to replace them as soon as possible to restore the health of your smile. Losing even one tooth puts the rest of your smile at risk. Also, once you lose a tooth, the rest of your teeth will shift to fill the gap and could move out of alignment. At Framingham Premier Dental, we can replace your missing teeth with dental implants.
Dental implants are a permanent, secure method to replace missing teeth. If you have enough bone mass to support the procedure, this can be a great choice for your smile. A titanium post will be inserted into your jawbone to create a secure base for your restoration, mimicking the tooth roots of a natural tooth. Once the post has bonded with your jaw, it will be topped with a custom made crown to complete the restoration, leaving you with a complete restoration.
Teeth can fall out for a variety of reasons, including trauma, cavities and gum disease. No matter how you lost your teeth, they can be replaced with dental implants. Take the first step towards restoring your smile and give us a call to see if this is the right solution for you.

June 17, 2013
A simple cosmetic dentistry procedure that can have a significant impact on your smile is teeth whitening. The color and appearance of your teeth can add or detract from your physical appearance, as well as affect how old you appear. At Framingham Premier Dental, we offer teeth whitening solutions to help improve your smile.
Teeth become stained or discolored naturally over time, and also from tobacco, alcohol, coffee and other foods. No matter the reason for the stains, teeth whitening can remove them and brighten your smile.
We offer both in-office and take home teeth whitening solutions to meet all your needs. An in-office whitening treatment is a simple way to brighten your smile and get on with your life. After one simple office visit, you’ll have a dazzling smile.
If this doesn’t work for you, we also offer take home whitening treatments. You’ll be given a custom whitening tray that you’ll fill with professional whitening gel and wear as directed for a few hours each day. It may take two weeks before you achieve full results. Your teeth may become a little sensitive while using the whitening trays, but this is only temporary.

Enhance Your Smile with Porcelain Veneers
May 15, 2013
If your smile needs a bit of enhancement or improvement, porcelain veneers from Framingham Premier Dental may be a great solution for your smile. With this two appointment treatment, we can dramatically change the appearance of your smile.
Since porcelain veneers are affixed to the front of your teeth, they allow us to shape and control the way your teeth are viewed by the world. Thin pieces of dental porcelain will be carefully crafted to look like natural teeth. We use porcelain because it reflects light like natural tooth enamel and is stain resistant.
Veneers can help cover over chips, gaps and cracks in your smile, as well as hide stains and minimize the appearance of crooked or misshapen teeth. Dr. Gaitsgory will remove a small amount of your natural tooth structure before placing the porcelain veneers over your teeth, leaving you with a beautiful smile once again after only two dental visits.
If you think this sounds like a great option for your smile, give us a call. We’d love to see if porcelain veneers could be used to give you the beautiful smile you deserve.

Bad Breath Solutions from Dr. Gaitsgory
April 16, 2013
Do you find yourself having bad breath frequently, and not just after you eat certain foods like garlic or onions? Do you feel like you’re always reaching for the mouth wash or mints but your breath still smells? Your bad breath may be a sign of something else going on in your teeth or mouth.
At Framingham Premier Dental, we can analyze your smile and diagnose the cause of your bad breath. Dr. Gaitsgory will perform a dental check-up and look for the cause of the odor issue.
Many causes of bad breath include the following:
- Bacteria growth on the tongue
- Cavities, especially when food particles are stuck in them
- Gum disease
- Dentures that haven’t been cleaned properly
- Alcohol and tobacco use
Once we discover what is causing your bad breath, we can address the dental issue and help to clear up your breath. Treating the underlying cause is the only way to stop bad breath. Mints and mouth wash will just mask the odor, leaving the real issue unaddressed.
If you have frequent or persistent bad breath, it’s important to give us a call to schedule an appointment, as this is frequently a symptom of other issues with your smile. We want all our patients to have beautiful smiles and are here to help.

Repairing Cavities with Crowns and Fillings
March 12, 2013
Cavities are a common dental health concern. Despite your best efforts to brush, floss, and visit us at Framingham Premier Dental regularly, they can still occur. If you have a cavity, it is important to treat it before the decay has an opportunity to affect more of your tooth. Crowns and fillings are the best ways to treat cavities.
If the cavity is small and has not gone through your enamel yet, then a filling is the best solution to repair the decay. Dr. Gaitsgory will remove the decayed portion of your tooth and place the composite resin material on your tooth. It will be hardened using a special light, and since it’s tooth colored, it will resemble your natural teeth.
Crowns are used to repair cavities that have gone beyond the enamel and are now too large to be filled. We will remove the damaged and decayed portion of your tooth and take an impression. This impression will be used to make your crown. In the meantime, we will place a temporary crown, to restore function while your permanent crown is being custom made. Once it’s ready, you’ll come back in and we will place it, giving you a fully restored, natural looking tooth.
Crowns and fillings are great ways to help repair cavities. It is important to ensure that your teeth are healthy, so make sure to come see us regularly. The sooner we find a cavity, the easier it is to treat.

Invisalign for a Beautiful Smile
February 14, 2013
Do you find yourself wishing for straighter teeth but are afraid how the appearance of traditional metal braces will impact your job or your social life? At Framingham Premier Dental, we have a great solution for you: Invisalign clear braces.
Invisalign straightens your teeth using a series of clear aligner trays, making it the preferred choice for many teens and adults. No one will be able to tell that you’re wearing braces, and there’s no metal to irritate your mouth. At the end of your treatment, you’ll have straight, beautiful teeth.
When you come in for a consultation, Dr. Gaitsgory will analyze your teeth to see if this is the right solution for you. If it is, she’ll create a 3-D image of your teeth that will be used to show you what your smile will look like after treatment, and it will also be used to create your aligner trays.
You’ll switch out aligner trays every two weeks and come to our office for a checkup every six to eight weeks to make sure your Invisalign treatment is progressing correctly. Since your aligner trays are removable, it’s easy to clean them and you can eat whatever foods you wish, unlike traditional braces.
Invisalign is a great way to achieve the beautiful smile you’ve always wanted. If you think this might be right for you or want to learn more, give us a call. We want all our patients to have a smile they’re proud to share with the world.
