Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I visit the dentist?
The American Dental Association and the Framingham Premier Dental team recommend patients visit us at least two times each year. These checkups allow our team to diagnose and treat those oral health concerns we are unable to help patients prevent in their earliest stages.
Can I bring my kids to your office?
We welcome families at our office, and are always happy to help young patients develop great oral health habits that keep them smiling beautifully for life.
What is periodontal disease?
Periodontal, gum, disease begins when plaque or tartar buildup at the gum line irritates soft tissue. This irritation can lead to sores, tissue loss, and even lost teeth.
How does a dentist treat sleep apnea?
Obstructive sleep apnea occurs when patients’ airways are physically blocked preventing the intake of breath during sleep. Oral appliances crafted by your dentist reposition the jaw to keep the airway clear during sleep.
Does a root canal hurt?
No more than other restorative procedures like fillings or crowns, but the infection leading up to this treatment is typically quite painful. Root canal therapy is necessary when decay or damage reaches the pulp layer of teeth where the nerve system is housed which can be extremely painful.
Is professional whitening better than over the counter options?
Yes. Professional whitening gel is able to remain active longer, and provides more transformative results compared with store bought varieties.
Do you take my insurance?
We’re happy to process and file claims for any insurance provider and work with patients to maximize their coverage.
